The Water Committee enquired into the conduct of Falconer and Parker employed on the City Water Works and recommended their removal. Repeated charges of intoxication had been made against Allen. Appended: Minutes of evidence from the enquiry by the Water Committee into actions of Falconer and Parker: evidence given by John Armstrong overseer, John (Jack) Maize labourer, Aaron Baker labourer, Robert Allen labourer, George Digby labourer, Owen Connor labourer, John Reddon labourer, McKay Falconer overseer.
