Appended: Letter from T Jones & Co, pharmaceutical chemists, 45 Market Street [letterhead with etching of premises] requesting lamps on the west side of George Street between Market and Druitt Sts; Letter from JB Alderson and T Wilson Hodgson, joint architects, Moore St on behalf of Henry Bull, applying for footpath in Moore St in front of the new building; memo from the City Surveyor, Richards, to the Town Clerk recommending metalling of William Street and costs for work; memo from City Surveyor with costs for paving van stand east side of Victoria St north of Darlinghurst Road; memo and reply Town Clerk to City Surveyor re Flinders St with costs of metalling; letter Alex'r Dean & Sons, builders & Contractors, Bourke St Surry Hills & 42 Castlereagh St requesting kerbing, guttering and paving in front of new premises in Bligh St being completed for the Australian Mortgage Land and Finance Co and in front of adjoining vacant land owned by the Company and stating that the encroachment of the vacant land on the footway will be removed and an iron fence erected on the proper alignment [annotations by City Surveyor]; letter from the Australian Mortgage Land & Finance Co Ltd requesting a better class of paving than tar in Bligh Street; letter from the Sydney Cricket Ground, Secretary's Office, declining the Council's offer of a nominal rent, imposed year by year, for the encroachment by the proposed Grand Stand on the Park and seeking another solution; letter from Sydney Cricket Ground, Secretary's Office, concerning the projection of the proposed additional gallery for the existing Grand Stand over the footpath; minute paper by City Surveyor on Sydney Cricket Ground Stand; memo City Solicitor, Percy S Dawson on the Sydney Cricket Ground Stand stating his opinion on the legal issues including various Acts of Parliament affecting the status of the roadway as a private or public way and the Council's powers as Trustees of Moore Park.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
