Unique IDOR-0010DescriptionThe Municipality of Macdonaldtown became Erskineville in 1893 by a simple change of name. The ward structure (North, Middle and South Wards) continued. From 1 January 1949 the Municipal Council was abolished and the area became part of the City of Sydney.
