The hotel was rebuilt in 1939. On the right is a Newsagency with a Dolls Hospital beyond it at no 15 Broadway. Past the Dolls Hospital is the coy of E G Glass. Further along Broadway on the right is the Grace Bros department store with its distinctive large oval domes along the front roofline. The dark brick building on the left is the Tooth & Coy Brewery & in the far distance can be seen the roofline of the University of Sydney on Parramatta Road. Pedestrians, cars and trams visible.
