Unique IDAY-0112DescriptionThis activity comprises the installation and management of 'street furniture' by the Council. Street furniture includes: bus shelters, public seating, telephone booths, news stands, fuit stands, information kiosks and similar small structures in streets and public places.
It does not include street lighting poles (see activity 25) or public toilets (see activity 39).
The first evidence of this activity taking place was on 28 October 1843 when the Board of Works Committee ordered that a public fountain be erected at the Old Toll Bar in Phillip Ward. (CRS 10/1). CreationTo be researched
