Unique IDAG-0206DescriptionOn 19 August 2002 the Council resolved to merge CA 135, City Development and CA 136, City Projects into a single new division.

The principal reason for the merger seems to have been the decrease in the project workload of the City Projects division following the 2000 Olympic Games.

The merger came into effect when the former Director of Planning, Mr John Kass, retired. The nominal succession date has been taken as 1 September 2002.

The Director of the new amalgamated division was Mr Brad Harris.

With effect from 15 December 2003 this agency was broken up, separating into new City Development and City Projects divisions.CreationResolution of Council 19 August 2002.
