Death Notice: WOOLCOTT. - September 30, at Fitz-Evan-chambers, of apoplexy, William Prout Woolcott, aged 61 years. [ref: The Sydney Morning Herald Tuesday 4 October 1887]
Report of Death: Mr. W. P. WOOLCOTT. - The sudden death of this gentleman occurred on the 30th ultimo. Mr. William Prout Woolcott was 61 years of age, and was well-known in Sydney commercial circles. He was proceeding along the street on the day in question when, he was struck down by an apoplectic fit, and taken to his office, Pitt-street. But he never rallied. The deceased gentleman was a brother of Mr. Woolcott, lately town clerk of Sydney. [ref: Australian Town and Country Journal (Sydney) 8 October 1887 p44]
