In 1911, the building was sold to a new owner, Sydney Arthur Josephson, who began demolishing the surrounding buildings. Mrs Mason protested when access to the back of her property was blocked off, and took the matter to court. She lost. The street address was 51 Brisbane Street and 150 Goulburn Street.
